5 Star Champion: Tim Connolly
Each month we feature five winners and connect their stories to the 5 Star principle they best represent.
Nomination by Craig McMillan: The following email was sent to me from the president of a community MRCM has managed for more than 3 decades:
"Hi Craig,
In today's environment, people will complain when things are not going their way but fail to acknowledge a job well done. You did the right thing when you hired Tim and his colleagues from MEW. I have known Tim ever since I joined the board of directors in 2009. He is a very reliable and conscious worker. Here is what he did that encouraged me to email you. We have a 90-year-old woman who is fragile and has difficulties leaving her house or going in backyard because of prefab steps. Tim suggested that we buy a more suitable step and install a handle bar at the front and back of her unit. This woman is very happy that she can now move in and out of her unit without the fear of falling. Her daughter emailed me from overseas to express her gratitude that her mom can leave her house at her own will without any fear of endangering herself. Please advise Tim's supervisor of his great work that helps prevent any injuries to one of our elderly seniors.
Regards,
Tony"
