2022 October 5 Star Champion: Jeannette Urrutia

Each month we feature five winners and connect their stories to the 5 Star principle they best represent. 

Nomination by Jason Villalba: Jeanette is a valued member of Associa's Home Office because of her dedication to our organization and the entire Associa family for the excellence she consistently exhibits in performing her job, and most importantly, for her warm heart and exceptional kindness she shares daily with anyone who is blessed to see her during the day.  She always has a smile on her face and a friendly greeting for the many people she encounters throughout the day.  Jeanette is the Home Office's hygiene engineer.  She ensures all surfaces are disinfected, all refuse is removed from the premise, all of the facilities are spotless and fresh smelling, and all of the kitchens are sparkling clean.  She also cares for our office greenery.  When my poor plant "Myrtle" was on her last leaves, Jeanette nursed it back to health with a green thumb, TLC, and a bolstering plant brace.  Myrtle may not make it, but Jeanette makes my day by trying to bring some sunshine into my office.  I think she Demonstrates Care like a 5-Star Champion, not only for humans, but for our green leafed friends!

We checked in with Jason and are happy to report that Myrtle is making a comeback thanks to Jeannette!
