2022 February 5 Star Champion: Denise Hay

Each month we feature five winners and connect their stories to the 5 Star principle they best represent. 

Nomination by Michele Trina: I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about an amazing display of appreciation that took place at a board meeting last night. Although the board was presenting and approving a $600K special assessment to owners which they were not excited about, one homeowner stood up and complimented the property manager, Denise Hay. He said that although she has only been at our community for a little more than 2 months, she has been incredibly effective in getting things done and acclimating herself to the property due to the abrupt departure/retirement of a long term manager. She has worked diligently with the new board to understand the property, the day to day operations, as well as the many challenges this property presents. After this owner stood up and stated all of this, the whole audience applauded the efforts of Denise. This 488 unit association has recently had to overcome many challenges included a CAM change, board of directors turnover, financial constraints, and mandated insurance and village capital upgrades. These are all being managed by Denise Hay.
